Master of restrained design
Martin Žampach is an innovative creator and industrial designer who believes that the best design is one that you barely notice. Above all, he prefers high functionality and refined tasteful details. In recent years, he has been extensively involved in 3D printing, which has influenced, for example, his collection of vases (WAVE, SPIRAL and ZIG ZAG) and pushed him to co-found the start-up studio Prototypum, where he develops new ideas and creates prototypes connecting design with engineering.
Although Martin Žampach worked in studios all over the world, for example in Brazil, Spain or Russia, his work remains inspired by a purely Czech nature and language. During his career, he has already won many awards, for example the prestigious American Good Design Awards for the KON tea service, which he worked on together with Matěj Chabera.
